Rumours is a madcap, door-slamming farce set in an English country house, where guests are gathering for a 10th anniversary dinner.
Things start to go haywire when the first couple arrives only to discover that one of their hosts has apparently shot himself and neither his wife nor the servants nor the dinner is anywhere to be found.
Through the course of a hilarity-filled evening, more guests arrive only to be met with cover-ups, deceptions, mistaken identities, and a lot of huge laughs.
