Community theatre is an entire world of opportunities for those with a desire to help keep the performing arts alive here in Hong Kong. All work is done on a volunteer basis. It’s a great way to get involved with the community and have fun doing it!

Auditioning for Hong Kong Players
We take the phrase “community theatre” fairly seriously – but we have fun doing it! Whilst we work with talented, seasoned artists as much as any theatre group, we also encourage beginning performers, and those returning to the stage after an extended leave. This is your cue to step forward with confidence – make an entrance soon!

HK Players Wants and Needs You Too!
It isn’t only actors, singers and dancers who get involved. Every show needs set, lighting & sound designers, make-up artists and stage crew to run performances, not to mention producers, stage managers, costume designers and administrative and general help. Many members remain happily backstage, contributing in these areas.
We are always on the lookout for talented people– and those who wish to learn the ropes. A technical background is not necessary to become involved.
