Hong Kong Players have been staging a traditional Christmas panto for more than 50 years. The show is an all-singing, all dancing extravaganza based on an original script. Chorus auditions

Principal Auditions
Saturday 15th June (16:00 – 21:00)
Monday 17th June (18:00 – 21:00)
Please note that you will be assigned a 30 minute time to attend and will not be required for the full session

The auditions will take place at Hong Kong Players rehearsal space, Spooky 3 3/F, On Tat Building (Block D), 3-5 Pat Tat St, San Po Kong (near Diamond Hill), Kowloon

(We will do our best to a lot you that time, but please be prepared to be flexible). You will receive confirmation of the booking slot after Wednesday May 16th
Auditions for Principal Roles:
Your audition will take 10-15 minutes – please arrive at least 15 minutes before your allotted time. You can audition for several roles if you wish, and we’ll provide pieces from previous panto scripts for you to audition with. We’d like to hear you sing and we’d like you to tell us a joke or two! Please wear loose, comfortable clothing.
NB Principals should be 18 years or older
Principal Roles:
Beauty Frump (F) – Charming and capable.
King Frump of the Seven Kingdoms (M) – King of the Seven Kingdoms – Ability to do American accent ideal.
Dame Mary Propper (M) – Beauty’s Governess.
Marla, Dark Queen of the Fairies (F) – The Evil Queen
Splenda, The Fairy Godmother (F) – Beauty’s fairy godmother and Chief of the Fairy Council
Prince Albert of the Lower Reaches (F/M) – A great singer and dancer, maybe not so much at the whole fighting thing.
Squire Dick (M/F) – Squire to Prince Albert, and secretly in love with Beauty
Sub-Principals
Mickey and Billy (F/M) The Henchmen – always carrying out the bidding of the one in charge, and always hand in hand.
Ensemble (aged 11- 25). Must also be able to sing, dance and act! Ability to play an instrument would also be considered.
The ensemble is the heart and soul of panto and we are looking for fabulous singers and dancers and actors with boundless enthusiasm and energy. Mainly modern dance, hip hop, also swing (lindy hop, jive). Other skills such as juggling, acrobatics, wire-walking, rollerblading, fire-eating, etc very welcome – come and show us what you can do!
Ensemble auditions will take about 20 minutes during which you will be taught a song and a dance routine. You should also prepare to sing a few lines a cappella from a suitable song.
NB, ensemble must be 11 years old or above by the time the show opens.
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your allotted audition time. Wear loose comfortable clothing and footwear suitable for dancing (no flip flops!). If you have long hair please tie it back.
